Stop The Pit Stains

By resalethera91553241, Jul 6 2016 02:38PM

Now that the temperature is rising, so is our body temperature. It’s never easy to keep your clothes looking clean and fresh when you are sweating like you just ran a 5k! We have a few great ideas on how to prevent those dreaded underarm stains!

One trick to managing your sweat stains is to avoid them! By avoiding them in the first place, you won’t have to face the chore of soaking your yellow underarm stains with vinegar and bleach. The first thing to realize is that it is not your sweat that actually causes the yellow stain. Sweat is typically clear, so usually you wouldn’t get more than a light salty residue on your clothes, which would come out easily in the wash.

Your deodorant or antiperspirant is the real culprit. Mixed with the moisture of your sweat, your deodorant or antiperspirant is what stains your shirts. Typically misapplication of the underarm product is the cause – especially applying too much product and not allowing it to dry properly. Yes, you may need to walk around with your hands in the air, waving them like you just don’t care…for just a minute or so…unless you just feel compelled to keep the party pumping longer!

Next time you apply your deodorant or antiperspirant, use a single, thin layer. There is no evidence that applying more will work any better or stop body odor. Allow it to dry completely before getting dressed. This should help prevent yellow underarm stains in your clothing!
